Job Description

Position Summary:
A Cloud Specialist is responsible for the design, implementation, and management of cloud infrastructure and services. This role ensures that cloud environments are optimized, secure, and scalable, while supporting the organization’s transition to and ongoing use of cloud technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement cloud infrastructure solutions based on business needs and technical requirements.
• Manage and optimize cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) to ensure high availability, scalability, and performance.
• Collaborate with development, security, and IT teams to deploy and monitor cloud applications.
• Implement and manage cloud security practices, including access control, encryption, and compliance with organizational policies.
• Migrate existing applications and services to the cloud while ensuring minimal downtime and data integrity.
• Monitor and troubleshoot cloud services and provide solutions to improve system reliability and performance.
• Develop and maintain automation scripts for cloud infrastructure provisioning and management.
• Keep up-to-date with the latest cloud technologies, trends, and best practices.
• Provide technical support and guidance to internal teams and stakeholders regarding cloud services and solutions.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Strong experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Proficiency in cloud service models (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS) and cloud technologies (virtualization, containerization).
• Knowledge of cloud security practices and compliance standards (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA).
• Familiarity with infrastructure automation tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible).
• Experience with containerization and orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills for cloud-based issues.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
